About Me
I live in the mountains of Julian with my husband and our fur children - three dogs and a cat! This is my 6th year teaching at Santana. I really enjoy getting my students excited about the topics we are studying and challenging their thinking in labs and hands-on activities. Teaching is a perfect fusion of my passion for science and my desire to leave a positive footprint. I enjoy bringing my travel and research experiences to the classroom and instilling in my students a keen desire to be a lifelong explorer, adventurer, and (of course) learner!
This year I will be teaching Medical Chemistry and Medical Anatomy & Physiology, both within the Health Careers Pathway. In addition I am the Health Pathway Coordinator at Santana and advisor for RLA Club. I have previously been the advisor for the Class of 2019 and Gem & Mineral Club. Outside of school, my interests include world travel, photography, reading, and outdoor exploration by way of hiking and backpacking, scuba diving, snowboarding, and whatever else Mother Nature throws my way! I also really love live musical and music festivals and spend probably too much time with my dogs.
